I am Searching for cruise line jobs from a long time, I want to make my carrer in this industry. How can i do this?
Are you looking for a job on-board the ship? Cause most of the staff on board is recruited outside the US. Except for certain positions (on-board coordinator, guest relations, sales etc) those are usually hired from within the company. So definitely look for a shore side position, all the major cruise lines have open houses that they advertise. You can also apply on their website, submit your resume & they will contact you when there is an opening. Good luck
Anybody know how to get a job on a cruise ship as a cook?
I am wondering some solid steps to getting a job on a cruise ship as a cook. Also, which one should I try to work for? Can your wife live on the boat with you? Thanks.

how do I bet job as cruise ship dance instructor?
My partner and I are amateur ballroom dancers with knowlege of country, club, and other dances. We would like to know how to obtain information on getting a job on a cruise ship as dance instructors, for a short to moderate time. We have experience teaching and are a fun, young couple. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
My dance instructors have done this. All the cruise lines they've been on go through agencies. They did just one cruise at a time (like a holiday), no long commitment.

How do I go about getting a Job on a Cruise Ship?
I live in Central Fl and I want any type of job on a Cruise Ship. sounds fun. I dont care where it goes or how long its gone either.
Keep in mind that once you get into International waters, they don't have to follow the same employment laws as if you are in the United States.
Typically, you share a crappy bunk with two others. You will get the bunk for only 8 hours per day, and you WILL be working the other 16 hours but they will only pay you a wage that is already very low for an 8 hour day.
You will sleep on the same sheets as the other two people, for several days.
Usually, there will be four bunks in your room, so you share a shower with eleven others. If you are "lucky", you will have only two beds in your room, so you will share a shower with only 5 others.
It will be an uncomfortable, itchy, nasty experience.
How does one go about getting a job on a cruise ship?
I am interested in getting a job on a cruise ship, but I know little of how to contact cruiselines, what the cruiselines are looking for in job experience, even how much certain positions would make, and details such as that. If anyone can suggest some websites or recent books that could help answer these questions, I would be eternally grateful. Preferably something along the lines of a step-by-step guide would be best.
Check out the website for carnival & see what openings they have & what the requirements are for being hired. Talk to a local travel agent in your twon. Most of them are cruise veterans, & may have some tips/inside info which could help you decide. They might even have a contact foor you w a cruise line.
When calling a travel agent, be sensitive to their time, & make sure you are calling them at a good time. Good Luck !!
