Cruise jobs; who pays for the air ticket?

Here's the question, Who pay for the air ticket for your Cruise Jobs?

Sorry that some of you might be rolling your eyes at my ignorance now, ha!ha! But was wondering, I'm a Singaporean and the cruises I am interested to work in don't exactly dock here, meaning I'd need to fly over; who pays for the air ticket and what other charges do I need to consider? Thanks for the advice!!
you should call or email someone in human resources to see if the company will pay for your airfare but either way i would report it on my taxes as a moving/business expense other charges: -cab -food -hotel

is there any cruise ship jobs agency in london that is not a crab?

i dealt with 1 agency for cruise ship since may n still nothing,no jobs n no promises ,funny part i have paid my money for their service.n every time i check them, got stories,some1 plis help with good agency.

What kind of job are you looking for? You can go directly to Harding Bros in the UK and they have lots of jobs in gift shops onboard a variety of cruise ships.

Once onboard as a shoppie, you can apply as a Purser or something else directly via the Hotel Director or Chief Purser. (That's how I got my job!)

But you will need to complete a full contract as a Shop Assistant first...

Best thing - it won't cost you anything to apply!

Your Talents For a Free Cruise

*********************************************** Your Talents For a Free Cruise ~ By Daniel Hall http://rosa22.djh1001.hop.clickbank.net/ *********************************************** It’s true!  You can trade your talents for free (or substantially discounted) luxury cruises. Cruise line management is very interested in keeping their passengers happy at all times.  This goal is a bit more challenging on days when the ship’s at sea.  To address this issue the cruise lines offer all manner of onboard activity.  Many of these activities are staffed by outside people who typically cruise free or at discounted fees paid to booking agencies.  One key advantage is the time commitment, which is generally minimal for those who are contracted (usually an hour per day on days when the ship’s at sea).  Also, most outside contractors get to bring along a traveling companion who also cruises free. You may consider whether you could trade your talents for free cruises.  To assist in your self- assessment here is a list of positions typically staffed by outside people: Enrichment Lecturer: Many cruise lines have formal enrichment programs that offer edutainment type programs in a variety of topics.  A majority of these programs use destination-driven lectures although many lines will also consider general interest topics. Arts and Crafts Instructors: Craft classes are an onboard staple at sea.  Projects range from so called "high art" like watercolor classes to simple macramé projects.  Typically, the more popular classes are those that are also destination related, i.e. handicraft or folk art of one of the countries on the itinerary. Dance Instructors:  These classes too are often related to the destinations being visited, i.e., Line dances (Texas); Meringue (Dominican Republic); Salsa (Puerto Rico), Samba (Brazil), Tarantella (Italy) etc..  Obviously you must have happy feet and know your business, but there is much fun to be had. Bridge Players: If you enjoy playing bridge and have a "knack" for it, you can spend a couple hours a day in the game room playing in exchange for your cruise.  Many times a requirement here is that your traveling companion must be ready, willing and able to sit in on a game should a pair need to be completed in order to play. Gentleman Host: Single? Chatty? Happy feet? Impeccable manners? Gentleman will be expected to appropriately entertain unescorted ladies on the cruise.   Dancing and polite company are the stock in trade for this onboard position. Computer Instructors: Many cruise lines are very interested in contracting with folks who can deliver a series of onboard computer classes. The list does not end here.  Many cruise lines will consider any kind of tasteful and interesting activity.  In any event, trading your talents for free cruises is worth investigating further. how can I get cruise jobs as cruise staff of a social host on a cruise ship?

I have worked for NCL before (as a waiter), I have worked in land-based restaurants before, and I am currently living in Germany working as a guest relations officer at 330 room resort... and I am having no luck at all trying to get back to the ship business! I have e-mailed resumes to all the major companies... and nothing! if anyone knows how to get a cruise staff job, I would greatly appreciate it.
All cruise lines have social hosts, no matter how cheap, even Island Cruises have them. Gotta tell you, it´s no easy work though. Be careful with sites and online agencies. I think you have a better chance if you snail mail the CVs. That´s what I did when I joined Carnival, long ago, in 2000. Hardings is easy to get in (Hardings is a concession that has shops on some 50 ships) but you would as a sales rep at first. You onboard amenities would be the same as cruise staff. The sales reps are staff members rather than crew. Well, you´ve worked onboard, you know. Anyway, hardings is at www.hardingbros.co.uk and the interviews are over the phone, the money is good and you dont work such long hours. For Cruise Staff it has to be thru the cruise line but I remember when I joined Carnival I emailed all cruise lines, but only got a decent interview when i sent my CV package by normail mail. Ive got some addresses for the cruise lines, email me if you want any. good luck
