You see a way to make money in your gap year before doing some more studying at college, doing cruise ship jobs, you won't have to pay rent or for your food, so your money is your own. Depends on you if you want to party and spend all your money then no, its not so hot, but you have to be disciplined and say this is my spending money for the week, the rest I am saving, once you have spent your money for the week, then tough cookie, just stay on board. It also teaches you to leave home and adapt to any environment where ever your are and to mixing with people from all works of life and countries.

The big bonus of couse of doing cruise jobs or cruise boat work is that you get to see the world and experience all those different cultures and food. Of course it does not compare to how the passengers doing a cruise would enjoy it as you are working and still need to get sleep in. Just as important is the fact that you get paid to see the world doing something that you are enjoying, so at the end of the day cruise ship work is a great experience.
