How do i get a job on a cruise ship?
I am an experienced barman and am hoping to get a job on a cruise ship so i can travel as i work. It is very hard to find out information on cruise ship vacancies can anyone help me? previous experience would be a great help. thanks.
Your best option is to go to the website for each of the cruise lines and check their employment/career/jobs page for instructions. I would not trust any "agency" that says they are doing hiring for cruise lines as the cruise lines normally do their own hiring.
I have included links to Carnival & Royal Caribbean employment pages below...

Each cruise company, I believe, has their own “careers” section on their Web sites, but the best way I know of is to visit this Web site: http://www.hcareers.com.
Once there, do the following:
Under “Find Your Job Now” in the second pull-down menu entitled “Industry” select Cruise Ship. You don’t have to change anything else, just click on the big “GO” button on the right. This will show you a list of some cruise ship jobs that are currently open. They usually first appear in order of posting, so the top one on the list will be the most recent. If you want to narrow it down to management or non-management jobs, you can do that using the pull-down menus as well. I just checked and there are no bartender jobs open at this time, but these change regularly and you should check back every few days if you are really interested to see if any are posted.
Good luck!
