i dealt with 1 agency for cruise ship since may n still nothing,no jobs n no promises ,funny part i have paid my money for their service.n every time i check them, got stories,some1 plis help with good agency.
What kind of job are you looking for? You can go directly to Harding Bros in the UK and they have lots of jobs in gift shops onboard a variety of cruise ships.
Once onboard as a shoppie, you can apply as a Purser or something else directly via the Hotel Director or Chief Purser. (That's how I got my job!)
But you will need to complete a full contract as a Shop Assistant first...
Best thing - it won't cost you anything to apply!

I don’t know any good ones, but agencies that charge you are usually bad: they take your money and do nothing. Good agencies charge the employer for finding staff, not you.
Why not contact some cruise companies and ask if they will employ staff directly; if not, ask who their agency is.

the first mistake was paying for the promise of a job. I did not think that was legal, but then again, you are in the UK, and things are differnt there.
I would go directly to the cruise lines. don’t pay the middle man what you can do yourself.

I work on the cruise ships and I would suggest as some of the others have said, contact the main cruise lines and find out more. Also on the company web sites there are buttons to the vacancies, but all are not apparent, some are called ‘about us’ etc. so keep searching. I also contacted a company that supplied a very good guide book with job profiles, how to get work, contact addresses etc and you got a bi-monthly news sheet with all latest vacancies. They are based in Glasgow, so plug it into a search engine, they were helpful. The service does cost a few quid but in my mind well worth it.
But be prepared for some long work hours and not large pay as it’s made up with tips in the areas you are looking at.
Just done some research for you as it was a couple of years ago I used them and the company can be found on http://www.cruiseservices.co.uk
The other thing to think of is 10 hours a day is a good day in some jobs on the ships with 11 and 12 being more like it, with the accommodation and bar work, other jobs have less work time, or if you have experience in something and get offered a supervisors position, or go for administration on the Pursers side of life, the working hours are less. but the company I mention will check your CV and suggest the options.
Good Luck
