what navy jobs translate to interesting high-paying cruise line jobs? besides captain, if any!~?

February 11th, 2010

Just curious what, if any naval jobs would translate to a high paying cruiseline job, I love the ocean and I would love to make a career out of working on the ocean, I would love to work on a cruise ship, so what jobs should i consider in the navy that would help me here? and i’d like to work on the bridge, i’m thinking of workin in the navy doing weather and taking my degree in hospitality?
As an Navy Vet and Merchant Marine Z-Card holder I would recommend Quartermaster if you are looking at entering the Navy as enlisted and want to advance in the licensed ranks of a Merchant Marine. Radioman if you are just interested in the money, but want to see the light of day. Engineering ratings if you really want to make the money and don’t care about personal cleanliness or the sunlight.
