See how to apply to Royal Caribbean International

Easy steps to apply to Royal Caribbean International

The Royal Caribbean International has a really easy website to navigate, to get to all the relevant pages and to the hiring partners in the various countries but you can also register your resume on the site itself.

(See clip below from the Allure of the Seas, just to get an idea what the cruise ship looks like, what they have onboard all.)

The thing to remember is, that it is quite a big change to work on a cruise ship, a completely different environment. The appearance might be of a hotel resort but it is a moving one at that with all the relevant safety aspects as well. You will need to adapt to living in a fairly small cabin and will have to or not share with another person possibly from another country with all their strange quirks and foibles.

So make sure that you are certain about the position you would like to work in onboard the cruise ship as well.

<img src="cruiseshipimage/Royal-Caribbean-International.jpg" alt="Royal Caribbean International">

A RCCL Ship in Costa Maya, Mexico

Hotel Operations or Marine Operations
You can search the site for jobs in the relevant categories; you can also go to the Hiring Partner page and use the dropdown arrow to navigate to the Partner in your country. The Hiring partner will be able to help your further with all relevant things.

You can register online on the Royal Caribbean International Website

It is pretty quick you can shop around for the relevant position you want to apply for and click the “Apply Online” button, upload your resume, with all the relevant data. Keep your username and password in a safe place in case you need it later. You can also get the quarterly newsletter with all the info in.

Royal Caribbean International and the Interview Process

Once your application has been through the reviewer phase and you match all the requirements necessary to the position, you will be contacted by a representative of Royal Caribbean for the prelim screening. It can be done through the hiring partner, via a web cam, or a verbal interview all done with one of the recruiting persons. You might find you have to have further interviews to assess more about you and you can also find out more about Royal Caribbean in the process, ask those relevant questions. They will contact you or the hiring partner to let you know if you have been put on the list for scheduling.

Next steps after your approval
1. Pre-employment medical examination before joining the ship, this is in the interest of health and safety all crewmembers need to have one. Hereby ensuring you are fit to fulfill your duties on board. You will have to do all safety training and emergence drills in addition as well.
2. Background Check, which is a criminal background check needed for all crewmembers.
3. Travel arrangements, you will need a passport from your country with a validity of one year from the date of joining your ship. You may need a Seaman’s book and relevant visa’s for US it is a C1D or for Europe the Schengen visa, it all depends where you will be joining the ship be it the US, Europe or Mediterranean.

Indian Cruise Jobs

Tips on finding info out about Indian Cruise Jobs

Looking to find a way to get that information where to go to get hired for Indian Cruise Jobs. Sometimes it is right under our nose, but you can’t find out where the person concerned is that does the hiring. I know people don't know where to look in there own countries for instance like India for getting that Indian Cruise Jobs travelling and working around the world.

Most cruise lines use hiring partners in various parts of the world to do all the recruiting bit, a pre-screening prior to interviews as well as to sort out seaman’s visa, medicals, air tickets.

They are also there should you be back home and need to get an additional visa for other countries.

Indian Cruise Jobs, cruise lines get that Royal Caribbean Cruise Jobs

Royal Caribbean uses hiring partners globally in helping them in the recruitment process, the hiring partners and not employed by Royal Caribbean.

The hiring partner sources, pre-screens and then provides the qualified applications for approval on instructions from the Royal Caribbean human resources department.

Basically once the applicant is successful after the interview and put into a pool for next available position on a ship. You are contacted and told you have been given a ship; the hiring partner then gives you a Letter of Employment. The hiring partner will then help you with getting your visa’s sorted out, helping with medical and travel arrangements, your airline tickets. The hiring partner will also give you an orientation and more on shipboard life, normally you watch a video concerning all this.

You then become an employee of Royal Caribbean once joining a ship, they will schedule you for further ships, as you leave a ship you will be giving a new letter of employment for the next ship and you deal with their human resources for further problems.

The hiring partner should not charge you for the interview or further fees once hired, you will have to pay for your airline ticket, visas and medicals prior to hiring.

See Cruise Jobs

What a silly word Cruise Jobs is…

What a silly word really Cruise Jobs, when I myself think of working on a cruise ship, I would use the word cruise ship jobs. But you really will be amazed at what people google when they search for words; this word is one of the most popular.

I worked on cruise ships for 18 years and I would never use this expression, but obviously other people do use it.
<img src="crapsgameimage/cruise-jobs.jpg" alt="Cruise Jobs">

Casino Dealer doing cruise jobs

I worked in the casino for most of my life and on cruise ships, doing casino jobs as a casino dealer for my last 8 years of ship life for Royal Caribbean International, doing three of there Celebrity Cruises ships as well. Before them I worked for a lot of different cruise lines, sometimes for the casino concessionaire, which has practically fallen away these days. One of the things I gained or I am very thankful is, from working for Royal Caribbean International is that I was trained on craps (dice) for most dealers or croupiers this is the pinnacle of there casino career, or for me it was. What a feeling standing there with the stick in your hand or feeling the dice as they fly from the stick as you push it out.

Beauty Salon, Shoppies, girls/guys doing Cruise Jobs

I really never envied the Steiner girls or guys on cruise ships with the long hours they had to work, my niece wanted to work in the beauty salon as a beautician doing massage. I basically told her the hours that some of them worked, she quickly changed her mind. I guess I should have let her find out for herself, it probably would have given her an excellent life lesson and made her live in the real world maybe. The Steiner staff would have to do the cleaning thing the night before the end of the cruise for the inspection in the morning. Though they always had loads of fun after hours socializing with all the officers and getting to all those great parties.

The shoppies had a nice social life out and about most nights in the bars; they had a pretty good life, except for when they had to do stores in port. Not such a lovely job if you are a girl, loading boxes and goodies for the pier.

Other kinds of Cruise Jobs

The divers on the big ships had a wonderful job imagine doing this for a living, basically training people to get certified and then taking them out for dives. This is a wonderful job, and then spending a few weeks on the Royal Caribbean private island.

Cruise Staff also have quite a cushy job they get to entertain the passengers, also a lot of work, you really have to love people and have fun doing activities.

Youth Activities is another excellent choice of cruise job, if you are trained in child minding, another job where you really do something that you love.

A lot of the jobs are for people that are passionate about what they do, like the bridge officers (maritime) or the engine room guys. It’s all about your outlook on life and what you are getting from it. Most of those guys are pretty ambitious working to get somewhere, promotion wise, whether it is to be the main guy like the Captain; it’s a career for a lot of them. Good for them I admire them for there ambitions.

See my site for other posts, check out the right hand side with a rss feed with updated current available jobs out there from allcruisejobs, the heading is way down it reads For all the latest available cruise jobs

So check it out see my page on cruise line jobs links, you can find your dream cruise jobs

Your living conditions with a cruise ship career

You normally share a two-berth cabin with a person in your retail team.

In port luckily the duty free shop has to be shut, so free time to go ashore unless you have other duties, loading stores.
The spa section is also slightly quieter in port with most of the passengers going ashore; unless you are on a bigger cruise ship, where they stay onboard.
On the day the cruise finishes and a new one starts, the turnaround port, you will need to help with new stock being loaded.

Pay with Harding Brothers in a cruise ship career

Your cruise ship salary is dependent on your experience and service with the company, but you all get the benefit of sales commission that is for above defined targets sets each cruise.

Hurry up get a Cruise Industry Job

Cruise Industry Job and you

You find that most people consider getting a cruise industry job at one time or another. You tend to see that exotic world of cruising and seeing the world, which some of these TV series has made look so glamorous. Yes there is a huge choice of jobs on cruise ships nowadays with the huge Oasis style cruise ships out there from scuba diving instructors and the more adventurous jobs. Think of these cruise ships as floating hotels so they have the same kind of jobs that you would find in these resorts, with all the relevant experience needed. Yes you do get to travel to these exotic ports of call and of course you meet all these different nationalities as these ships have a mini United Nations on board from afar as Nepal, with lots of different cultures as well.
<img src="femaleimage/cruise-industry-job.jpg" alt="Cruise Industry Job">

The main negative factors of a Cruise Industry Job

1.You will be on the sea, so do you experience seasickness?
The sea is pretty unpredictable from one moment to the next on a cruise ship whether in the Caribbean or sailing the eastern Mediterranean, from hurricanes to stormy weather. So please think carefully if you do suffer from that motion sickness, or come prepared with the magic bracelet to start off with doing a cruise industry job.

2.You will need to sleep and live in a small cabin, pretty confining, so beware if you suffer from claustrophobia.
Working on a cruise ship, your small cabin will be on the lower decks and there most certainly won’t be a porthole (window) unless you are extremely lucky and on one of the older ships. You will share a cabin with someone in a cruise ship job who is called your cabin mate; you will share the toilet and shower, quite a thing in a confined space and confined time. Of course if you are employed as an officer yes your conditions are entirely different.

Yes you will have guessed if you have answered affirmative to the above, then you are not going to be a suitable candidate for this cruise ship jobs life.

Duration of your contract in cruise jobs – it can vary from four to six months sometimes longer or shorter, you will also work a seven day week. Days off are when you are on vacation at the end of your contract. You generally pay your own way to join the cruise ship for your cruise industry job, the cruise line pays your way back, and cruise lines are constantly changing their policies so always check. Obviously if you do not finish your contract you will be paying your own way home. You generally get 6 to 8 weeks vacation and then return to your cruise employment on a ship, the one you were on or a new one.

A Cruise Industry Job is normally paid in US Dollars while on board the ship, no pay while on vacation. You will have a flexible schedule but pretty demanding. You will need to be in good health, you will have to pass a medical examination prior to joining the ship and on a regular basis.

The Positive Factors of a Cruise Industry Job

Yes if you have got past all the negative aspects, then possibly you will think the positives outweigh all the negatives. Cruise Ship Jobs do give you that wonderful opportunity to travel the world and to meet all those exciting interesting people along the way. You will join a team onboard a cruise ship that is always willing to help you to learn the ropes and settle in and you will make lifetime friends with people. You will have lots of opportunities to go ashore in the ports of calls and visit all those exciting places. Or simply just go to the beach and swim in places in the Caribbean and just chill out and be in the moment, sun beating down on your head, body, and bliss….

The wages on board differs from cruise lines; you will think it’s not worth it for the long hours of work. You will get free board and food, no utility bills to pay. You don’t have as much opportunities to spend your wages, so just think of the money you can save.

All the cruise lines today are very aware of keeping cruise employees comfortable, happy. You will find a crew bar, crew shop for basic items on board and lots of activities and parties arranged on a regular basis, to even playing bingo. Cruise lines are very much aware that a happy crewmember will then keep the passengers happy. There keeps the circle going around for all satisfied people.
