Cruises Jobs-The things you need to know before applying for an cruise ship job….

Royal Caribbean Cruise Jobs

Check out the video on Royal Caribbean above, enjoy...

Going on a cruise ship  as a passenger is a wonderful experience, loads of fun, excitement. What does it take to make the cruise ship run smoothly so the passenger can have there wonderful dream cruise. A lot of people have strange ideas, that the crew don't sleep on-board, where they get these ideas from. They are there on board living in crew quarters, obviously not as nice as passenger areas, but the newer ships have some nice facilities. Doing cruises jobs, there are a lot of things going for it, but of course you have the opposite as well, like anything else in life, at the end of the day its what you make of anything in life.

Things going for it, doing Cruises Jobs

The first and foremost thing about the job is the wonderful traveling bit, see the world for free and still get paid, wow. The beauty is that you are in a different place everyday, you wake-up, and there you are in the Caribbean the sun shining. The contracts vary from the officers that get the shorter contracts, to the staff & crew that get anything from 6 to 9 months. The next thing number 2 is that you don't have rental or electricity bills to be concerned about, accommodation is free plus your food, no worrying about  sitting in peak hour traffic, catching the train, bus. You get to save a lot, if you don't spend it all ashore in the gorgeous ports of call. The third thing is you get to meet so many people from all over the world, make friends for life, you learn about all these different cultures. Imagine having a cabin mate from Nepal or some equally exotic place in the world, no need to go there you can learn so much from them, if you allow yourself.

The downside of doing Cruises Jobs

There is always a downside to any job unfortunately where ever you are in the world, same as doing cruises jobs. Homesickness, it is natural, especially the first time away from your familiar surroundings, even worse if you got kids and are married. The discipline on-board can be quite hard as well, cabin inspections, mandatory boat-drills,One of Royal Caribbean's Voyager class cruise ships crew boat drills, eating in the specified eating times our tummies don't always appreciate that. The hours can be quite tiring, standing on your feet, constantly having to have that smile, being happy, it can drain you, but just think of going ashore and seeing these beautiful places. Like I said before, it is what you make out of life in general, if you look on cruises jobs as a wonderful experience, a once in a lifetime opportunity, where you get to travel and see the world make wonderful friends for life. It is all in you mindset, if you worked at home, there are downside things and positive things, but where would you get to wake up in another country or place everyday.
