You get crew pursers as well, which is a very busy section, from financial, to arranging crew administrative needs and activities. Shore Excursions teams, which is providing guests with tours in the destination ports.
2. Food and Beverage – You can find a wide range of dining options on board cruise ships, from the formal restaurants, food courts, bars and pizzerias. You find all the huge options of bars and lounges offering a wide range of drinks and cocktails, before meals, after meals or anytime by the pool areas, casino areas.
3. Entertainment – You will find a fun and exciting entertainment areas on board.
• Cocktail bars, nightclubs and Casinos, very entertaining musical, deck parties and deck activities.

4. Youth - You will find on board the ships a program for 2 – 17 years olds, where a whole lot of activities are arranged to keep the children busy and having fun as well. The standards are quite high for gaining employment with the Youth program.
5. Marine & Technical – You will see that this is a vital part of any Ships crew, from the navigation and maintenance of the ship, which is ongoing. The Deck & Engine departments make up marine certified Officers with relevant qualifications, Non Marine Officers on boards, from technical, electrical, security and environmental on the ship.
6. Medical – You will see that medical care is an important aspect of life on board a cruise ship. The medical team has to care for and give general and emergence care for everyone on board. Recruitment for skilled Doctors and Nurses for all the fleets of Carnival UK. You generally find two doctors and up to four nurses on board depending on the size of the ship and where it is located. The medical centers are well equipped, from the consulting rooms, in-patient beads, dispensary, x-rays facility and of course emergency equipment and supplies.
7. Cadet – You will find this is a wonderful opportunity where you can live debt-free and still get paid your tuition fees and salary while you train and the opportunity to becoming a sea faring officer. 8. On Board Photographers – You can take your passion for photography and travel and combine it; of course you need a great customer service record. You will be capturing the passengers with the Captain, at the different ports of call, the deck parties on board. You get to work in the Photo Gallery so some sales experience is a great advantage as well, quite a fun position.

The photographers jobs on ships, what the cruise job entails is taking pictures of the passengers on board the cruise ship. It is one of the busiest positions on a ship you are constantly busy. Then of course processing the pictures, the next step being selling those gorgeous pictures you have taken to the lovely passengers, who want to keep memories of there trip to take home to show people.
Some pictures will not be so great with the lighting, so you might need to take explain to the passengers and take new ones.
You take pictures on the gangway as they come onboard or in ports, formal nights with the captain, fun evenings on board, all nice souvenirs for the passengers. You all so need to chat and be sociable with the passengers.
Sometimes you have to be forceful in a polite way to take the pictures.
Experience needed for Photographers Jobs on Ships
It does not take a rocket scientist to work this one out; of course you do need to have some experience of being a photographer before. Of course processing and some sale experience is a great plus. If you come onboard just to work in the shop and get trained in your time that’s great for you.
Of course experience in landscape and portrait photographer is a great plus.
Pay and hours for Photographers Jobs on Ships
It is commissioned based, so you really need to get those passengers excited when you take the picture and encourage them to buy them, so a bit of pre-selling. If you give off great energy and our quite outgoing you can do pretty well. The pay is on average plus minus $2000 and upwards a month.
The hours you as a photographer are going to work are all about how long the job takes and how many pictures you can take.
