Harding Brothers is always looking for committed, professional retail staffs that has a track record of selling, retailing and have great customer service skills to be employed on one of the cruise ships.

Your contract with a cruise ship career
You start off with a contract for a stint of six months with Harding Brothers, after that period depending on your performance whether you are offered a new contract.
You can move up the ladder with an assistant manager or over time a manager spot depending on your skills or attitude.
Your living conditions with a cruise ship career
You normally share a two-berth cabin with a person in your retail team.
You may have perks of using passenger areas so you will need some smartish clothes for nights out.
The hours with a retail position vary in cruise ship jobs; especially on sea days (no port, just stays at sea) can be a long day with stores opening from as early as 9am to 10pm on the larger vessels.
In port luckily the duty free shop has to be shut, so free time to go ashore unless you have other duties, loading stores.
The spa section is also slightly quieter in port with most of the passengers going ashore; unless you are on a bigger cruise ship, where they stay onboard.
On the day the cruise finishes and a new one starts, the turnaround port, you will need to help with new stock being loaded.
Pay with Harding Brothers in a cruise ship career
Your cruise ship salary is dependent on your experience and service with the company, but you all get the benefit of sales commission that is for above defined targets sets each cruise.

work on cruise ships
Where can I get a job on a cruise ship? I live near Los Angeles Ca ?
What company can I work for and where do I apply? For a job on a Cruise Line ?
You need to go to the cruise line web sites. There you will find a link to jobs, employment, human resources or some such link that will give you information about their positions. DO NOT use any other web sites that require you to pay a fee to register or get job information or referrals. Some cruise line sites may have current vacancies they are recruiting for. Several cruise lines have new ships coming out soon so opportunities will be there. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Disney and some others will have new ships launched in the next couple years. Here are some links: Carnival is the parent company for several cruise lines including Carnival, Cunard, Princess, and Holland America. So contacting Carnival will likely get you leads to the other cruise lines also. PRINCESS: http://www.princess.com/index.html CARNIVAL: http://www.carnivalcruiselines.com/ Then Royal Caribbean cruise line is a partner with Celebrity and Azamara. So contacting RC will likely also get you leads to these others. Royal Caribbean has very good information about its positions. So if you go there first you will know what most ships have. Then if you have further questions you should write a letter to the cruise line and ask them; they will respond. AZAMARA: http://www.azamaracruises.com/07/azama..... CELEBRITY: http://www.celebritycruises.com/home . ROYAL CARIBBEAN: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/gohome.d..... NORWEGIAN: http://www.ncl.com/ DISNEY: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/..... Another thing to do is to contact the concession that run the shops on the ships like the souvenir, gift and clothing shops. These are the companies that hire the beauty shop/spa employees for ships. How to get a job on a cruise ship?
okay well im only in 10th grade right now , but i was wonder if you have to go to college to get a job on a cruise ship . and if you do what college would be good to go to ? also is it hard to get a job on royal carribean ?
It all depends on what you want to do on the cruise ship. If you want to do service work (waitress, maid service) or even cruise staff you don't necessarily have to have a college degree. If you want to do entertainment you should have some experience. It is hard as an American to get jobs on most cruise liners as they are not "flagged" in America. (If you have ever been on a cruise you will notice that alot of the staff are foreign) BUT Norwegian Cruise Line Hawaii cruises, are the first US flagged ship in over 50 years! I had a friend that worked on NCL in Hawaii. To find out more info on cruise jobs check out their web sites. Some even have videos on what it's like to work on a ship and what to do to apply. Here are some of the ones that I found that might interest you to look at. Working on a cruise ship can be LONG hours, many days in a row. YOu work in contracts. You may get a 3 month contract for one ship and then 3 months on another ship and then who knows. And generally you have to share a room with one or more room mates depending on what job you have. But while you are young it will be awesome like going away to college or camp. A lot of hard work, but a lot of fun! GOOD LUCK!!! Royal Caribbean http://www.royalcaribbeanproductions.com/ NCL America (these are the Hawaiin ships I mentioned) http://164.109.173.40/employment/nclAmerica/index.htm NCL http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/staticPage.html?pageId=NCLS.ShipboardEmploymentLanding Disney http://corporate.disney.go.com/careers/who_cruise.html
