I live in Canada and my friend and I would like to start work on a cruise ship in August. When would be a good time to start applying? Glamorous casinos, show lounges, some have ice shows, so they have an ice-skating rink as well, the restaurants, shops on board, so a floating resort with all kinds of entertainment. Cruise ships have all the positions on board is all the jobs you would need in a big vacation resort, plus some more. Hotel staff for the reception, restaurant staff, kitchen staff, entertainment, to casino staff, there is something for everybody doing cruise jobs. You need to be confident you can do the job, enjoy being around people, so some good people skills.

Get paid to see the world doing Cruise Jobs

The biggest advantage of employment on a cruise ship is getting paid to see the world, what a marvelous chance you have, in the ports of call you have free time to enjoy the places. In a lot of the jobs you earn tips, especially the service industry part, like cabin stewards, waiters, casino dealers, so you have a good chance to earn money, it varies but from $1000- $6000 or more depending on cruise job. You stay rent free, your meals are free as well, you get medical on board, you get vacation time, families get cheaper fares to travel.
Working on board you can use the facilities depending on your position, but there are crew areas for relaxation, bars and even a shop for your necessities. So you feel comfortable on board, some even have play-stations, internet of course. But going to the beach in the Caribbean is like a vacation.
