Unless you have some type of professional training, as a chef, or a hairdresser, or a recreation leader, or a musician, you won’t have a chance. The service staff are 90 percent mexican, Filipino and indian, and they work close to 90 hours a week, 7 days a week for 4 to 6 months straight, then they go home by air for two months.
Are you willing to work those hours ? Probably not.
A friend of mine worked as a musician, for 2 years, on Royal Cruise lines and saved enough money to buy a house here in Canada, but he says he would never do it again. He never got off the ship for 4 months at a time, to avoid spending any money. What a drag.
